Engineering & Computer Science

Eligibility Criteria
An Engineering and Computer Science student may pursue an interest in enrolling in SSUI if the student meets the following criteria:

Class Standing: First-year, Sophomore, Junior or Senior
GPA Range: Cumulative average below 2.75 or semester GPA below 2.0.
Other Criteria: Deficiency in credits or students who have failed to make sufficient progress toward degree.
Exceptions: Consideration will be given to students who meet the following criteria:
  • First-time applicants
  • Seniors who are at risk for completing the credit requirements for graduation in May or August, but who have achieved the GPA requirements for graduation
  • First-year students earning less than a “C” in any core course.
  • Students on academic probation

The numbers of available positions are usually less than the number of applications. Participation is not guaranteed to students when they meet the criteria. The College will make the selection as applications are received.
